Amani of Egypt

This is the finished piece I completed for Adam Skutt's Character Creation For Games class. The concept for my character was a woman of Egyptian royalty with an afro. (The hair was probably 90% of why I chose this project) The model I used as a reference was Imaan Hammam. As an homage to the original model, the name Amani came from rearranging the letters in Imaan. Fortunately it happened to be a real name that made sense for the character as well so it seemed like a perfect fit :)

Zbrush was used for the high resolution sculpting, Marvelous Designer was used for the clothing. Maya was used for Retopo, and generating the hair with XGen as well as placing the hair cards. I used a mixture of XNormal and Marmoset Toolbal 3 for baking. Mari was used for projection painting of the face and Substance Painter was used for pretty much everything else.

I recently returned to this project and started to set up a rig for her. Check it out!
